Live Wedding Painting and Guest Portraits | Lancaster Spring Wedding

The first weekend of April marked my first live wedding painting event of 2025. What a lovely way to start the season! I had the joy of painting guest portraits live at the beautiful Lancaster Country Club. Let me just say—what a dreamy setting for an early springtime celebration.

With hubby being on baby duty, this was a solo mission for me. I set up, painted, and packed up all on my own this time (with a little help from some Denim coffee 😉). It felt like the perfect kickoff to the new season, and I couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful evening!

At The Wedding

This particular wedding was a little different than my normal guest portrait events. I was arrived a few hours early and capture candid photos of the couple’s first look. This enabled me to have their newlywed portrait completed and framed before the ceremony took place. I was able to get “in the zone” and be ready to pump out some paintings, as well as give guests a glimpse of they style their portraits would be painted in. I love how this watercolor painting turned out (I’m still fangirling over the bouquet)!

The guests were an absolute delight. Everyone looked stunning in their spring wedding attire, and it was so fun capturing each person’s energy. There’s something so magical about live portraiture—it brings out so many smiles and sweet moments. People came to my table multiple times to tell me how much they appreciated what I was doing. But I appreciate them even more! Hearing someone go “Ooooh, that looks just like you,” is truly the best compliment.

I also had the pleasure of meeting some truly talented local vendors who made the day run so smoothly. It’s always a treat getting to know the other creatives behind the scenes—and it’s even better when we all get along like old friends! I look forward to collaborating with them all again in the (hopefully) near future.

Looking Ahead

As I packed up at the end of the night, I couldn’t help but feel excited for everything to come this year. I can’t wait to do more live wedding painting this year. I’ll meet more amazing couples, paint more beautiful moments, and book more events just like this one.

If you’re planning a wedding or event in 2025 or 2026 and want to add something charming and personal for your guests, I’d absolutely love to paint for you! I’m available for events in Lancaster County, including Lancaster, Hershey, Mt. Joy, Elizabethtown, Manheim, Millersville, Lititz, Leola, and all the other lovely surrounding towns. Whether it’s guest portraits or a live wedding painting, I’m ready to bring a little painted magic to your day. 💛 You can inquire here to get started!

Cheers to a colorful, joy-filled wedding season ahead!
