About Watercolor Guest Portraits
No matter the type or duration of your event, I follow the same process each time. I will arrive at your venue 45-60 minutes early to set up quickly and be ready to work!
If guests wish to have a portrait painted, they will come up to my table and get their photo taken. I will use the photo to paint each guest's or couple's likeness in a quick, sketchy, loose style. Each portrait is painted on high quality 5x7 watercolor paper. It takes me about 5 minutes to draw and paint each person, so a couple takes about 10-12 minutes to complete. I can paint between 5-7 couples per hour. Each painting is placed in a plastic protective sleeve once dried, to keep safe on the way home. Guests can come pick up their finished portrait whenever they see it's ready!
Pricing
The Live Guest Portraits service starts at $1500. This includes 4-5 hours of painting and the guaranteed completion of 25-30 portraits (which comes out to approximately 50-60 guests, as they are typically painted in pairs). If you have a larger event and would like more of your guests to receive a painting, the remaining portraits can be completed afterwards in the studio for an additional cost. The portraits finished afterwards are mailed to you and can be sent out with your thank-yous!
Based on the distance from my studio in Lancaster, a travel fee is required for any events over 5o miles away.
