Hannah offers guest portraits as entertainment for weddings, but they are also ideal for smaller events such as rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, birthday parties, corporate events, and more!
No matter the type of event, the process is the same. Hannah will arrive to the event venue 60 minutes before the scheduled start time to set up and be ready to paint.
the process
Guests that wish to have their portrait painted will come up to the table and have their photo taken. Hannah uses the photo to paint each guest's or couple's likeness in a quick, loose, impressionistic style with mixture of pencil, professional grade watercolors, and ink. Each portrait is painted on cold pressed heavyweight 5x7 watercolor paper. Between 5-8 portraits can be completed per hour, depending on the level of detail and nature of the event. Each painting is placed in a protective sleeve once dried, to keep safe on the way home. Guests can come pick up their finished portrait whenever they see it's ready! Any portraits that do not get finished at the event are taken back to the studio to be painted. Portraits finished in the studio will be safely packaged and shipped to the client afterwards. Local delivery is available for clients located in Lancaster County.
For weddings, the guest portrait service begins at $2,000*. This includes 5 hours of live painting, spanning the cocktail hour and reception. These 5 hours guarantee the on-site completion of 25-30 portraits or 50-60 guests, as people typically come in pairs. Sometimes, more may be completed depending on the flow of the night.

There is no travel fee for events within 1 hour from the studio. A travel fee can be expected for any events more than 1 hour outside Lancaster.
